These two small temples are located east of the Bindu Sagar tank, along a water channel that runs around the north and east of Bindu Sagar. A road that winds from the Mukteshwar temple group towards Bindu Sagar, along which also lie the Swarnajaleshwar and Kotitirtheshwar temples, passes close to these temples. Continue reading

This temple complex lies further west of Papanasini and Makreshwar. Yameshwar is another example of the 13th c profusion in temple construction. A small shrine in the complex, possibly from the 7th c, is an indication that many of the existing temples in Bhubaneswar were built on the sites of earlier temples. Continue reading

The Papanasini complex lies to the north-west of the Lingaraja temple, west of Chitrakarini, and adjacent to a busy intersection. The central feature of the complex is a tank called the Papanasini Kund. Two temples lie to the north of the tank, and one small temple to the south, with a few scattered smaller shrines.
