Vellore Fort: Jalakanteshwara Temple

The 16th c AD Vijaynagar-era Jalakanteshwara Temple inside Vellore Fort is most famous for the sculpture work on the columns of its free-standing mandapa. These are among the best examples of Vijaynagar style sculpture.
