I spotted a couple of old, defunct pyaus along Chawri Bazaar road in the heart of Old Delhi. In this case a pyau is a small kiosk where travelers/commuters could get a drink of water (for themselves and I guess their horses/mules too) . The first one below was attached to a small temple behind it.
