Made a quick trip to the temples at Hatkoti and Rohru in eastern Himachal Pradesh. These photos of Hatkoti and Rohru are also on flickr.

Hatkoti
Hateshwati temple at the heart of Hatkoti village. There is a lot of new construction around the temple, so the old descriptions of the temple being set on flat land “surrounded by fields” near to the Pabbar river are now inaccurate. The river is still nearby of course, but the setting is much more like the many concretized small towns we see around Himachal now. There is also a large dam coming up near the temple.

Rohru
Rohru is a busy trading town and junction upstream from Hatkoti on the Pabbar, and is the location for the Shikru Devta temple.
